How do I get to and from Hudson NY from New York City?

The best way to get to Hudson, NY from New York City is on Amtrak rail from New York Penn Station to Hudson, NY. The train ride is approximately 2 hours. Note, Amtrak is different from the Metro North, which travels north from NYC also. Metro North services end at Poughkeepsie (despite the line being called the 'Hudson' line referencing the Hudson river) Amtrak tickets can be purchased at the below link. Note that Amtrak, unlike other tri state area rail transportation is ticketed so trains will sell out. Better get those tickets now!! www.amtrak.com The Thank You Brunch will be at a restaurant very close to the Hudson railway station. Driving to Hudson, NY from NYC is around a 1hr 45 mins to 2hr drive.

If travelling directly from JFK, Newark or La Guardia to Hudson, NY the best option other than a car service from the airport, is to come into Penn Station and take Amtrak to Hudson, NY. To get to Penn Station from JFK, take the airtrain to Jamaica, then the Logn Island Rail Road to Penn Station - these run every few minutes. From Newark, take the NJ Transit to Penn Station. From LGA, the best way to get to Penn Station is to take a under or a taxi.

Yes, there is dedicated parking at The Caboose. There is also overflow parking at the next door Antiques Warehouse which is a 2 minute walk to The Caboose

Hudson itself is a very walkable city (yes, it is technically a city, albeit a small one!) There are local cab services which are efficient. Uber can be a little delayed in our experience.
